State of the art ambulances to hit Abu Dhabi streets
A fleet of 60 new state-of-the art ambulances are being put on the roads in Abu Dhabi.
The public hospitals managed by SEHA, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, will benefit from the new vehicles in coming months.
Shipped in from the US, SEHA claims the ambulances are the first of their kind to be used in the Middle East.
Saif Bader al Qubaisi, the managing director of SEHA, said this investment is all part of raising the bar in health care in the emirate.
“SEHA is the first company in the Middle East that acquired this type of ambulances for its hospitals.
“These ambulances are top-of-the-line with full telemetry capabilities for communication between the hospital and the nurse or emergency medical technician with the patient,” he said.
Manufactured by Horton, the ambulances will be distributed in coming weeks.
Training for those manning the vehicles will be provided by Horton on delivery.
